The former Minister of Education and rector of the Latin University, Mirna de Crespo, took stock of education in Panama during 2021, indicating that the health crisis caused by Covid-19, indicated the need for the State to invest in the technology platforms.

He explained that there is a big difference between rural, regional, vs. urban areas, differences that could be seen in international tests that indicated some deficiencies in the educational system.

“We have to strengthen this reach of the signal (internet) so that people can access, have exchanges, investigate and establish how it can be donated or given so that each one has a small tablet, which if it does not have a signal, have it downloaded the archives to study ”, he specified.
