President Louis Abinader expressed his condolences last night for the death this Thursday of the queen of England, Isabel IIwho presided over the British throne for 70 years, becoming the longest reigning monarch in history and second only to Louis XIVwhich remained 72.
“Our deepest condolences to the Royal Family, the British people and the peoples of the Commonwealth on the sad passing of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. His reign of more than 70 years will be remembered for his dedication to democracy and the best causes, ”the president wrote on his Twitter account.
Queen Elizabeth passed away at the age of 96 at her Scottish castle in Balmoral, accompanied by her relatives.

“Following further evaluation this morning, the queen’s doctors are concerned about the Health Her Majesty and have recommended that he remain under medical supervision,” according to the statement.
“The queen remains calm at Balmoral.”
Prince Carlos has traveled to Balmoral with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Her eldest son, William, Duke of Cambridge and second in line, arrived hours later, but Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, remains in Windsor with her children.
Prince AndrewDuke of York, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Edward and Sophia, are also at the Scottish residence, some 40 miles west of Aberdeen.
Anne, the princess royal, was already in Scotland for previous commitments.
