The Panama Black Weekend is approaching, which will take place in our country from September 14 to 18 in various shopping centers, so the owners of what belongs to others take the opportunity to make mischief and commit their misdeeds.
Deputy Commissioner Thelma Palma, head of the Police Service for Citizen Integration and Participation of the National Police, provided countless recommendations for all those people who will go to the well-known “malls” to enjoy these offers.
Palma recommended that people be aware of the environment so as not to give the offender an advantage. “Be aware of the rest of the people around us, whether it’s on public transportation, in the mall, having control of our belongings, placing bags on the front of the body,” he said.
For those who travel by vehicle, use parking lots with light poles, avoid leaving items of visible value or that attract the attention of the criminal; don’t handle a lot of cash, try to use online banking or cards.
