A total of 20 million 36 thousand 62 anti-COVID-19 doses have been administered in Cuba during the mass vaccination that began on July 29.
The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) highlights today that in this immunization process with the Cuban vaccines Abdala, Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus, the population over 19 years of age from territories with epidemiological risk, risk groups at the level of of all provinces, as well as the pediatric population from two to 18 years of age throughout the country.
The health entity also reported that at the end of December 29, 30 million 493 thousand 43 doses administered with Cuban vaccines accumulated in the country.
Minsap reported that they have received at least 10 million 440 thousand 834 people, including those vaccinated with Soberana Plus as a single dose; They have a second dose of nine million 303 thousand 516 Cubans and a third dose of another eight million 939 thousand 542.
Regarding the booster doses administered, it turned out that a total of one million 809 thousand 151 people have been vaccinated, of them, 117 thousand 810 as part of the Clinical Study and one million 691 thousand 341 as part of the reinforcement that is being applied to population of selected territories and risk groups.
Regarding health intervention in risk groups and territories last May, 9,618,641 doses have been administered. As part of the intervention study, another 454 thousand 64 doses have been administered; and related to clinical trials, some 266 thousand 466.
