A young man drowned this Sunday afternoon while bathing in the spa The Mariaslocated on the road section that connects the municipalities of Galván and Neyba, Bahoruco province.
The preliminary report identifies the deceased today as Diego Pineda, 18 years old, who lived in the municipality of Villa Mella, Santo Domingo Norte province.
According to this same report, the young man expired due to suffocation by immersion, according to the diagnosis issued by the lawyer acting in the case.
This along with a brother, whose name did not come out immediately, were part of a group of people who moved from Santo Domingo to Neyba to enjoy the fresh waters of the Las Marías spa.
