Firefighters: Courageous work at the service of the population of Huancavelica

Being a firefighter is a self-sacrificing and courageous voluntary work to which we can all aspire, but few manage to stay. This is because it takes dedication and commitment to serve the citizenry to remain constant.

And so that the young people and adults of Huancavelica can discover the possible talent that they have inside, the Huancavelica Fire Company B56 will make a demonstrative presentation of what its members do in an emergency, with the aim that more people join the “men in red”

CALLING PEOPLE TO BE FIREFIGHTERS OF HUANCAVELICA

With an interesting initiative, the Huancavelica firefighters will carry out a demonstrative activity for the applicants to continue this voluntary work in Huancavelica.

“Being a firefighter is a lifestyle, different from any profession, since within the company we have various professionals, such as nurses, engineers, lawyers, journalists, in short, the fire company is made up of various professionals”, said Carlos Córdova, sectional of the aforementioned fire company.

He added: “It is a lifestyle different from that of the citizenry because we identify ourselves by the work we do, such as being able to care for and provide care in the out-of-hospital environment, medical emergencies, forest fires, structural fires, among others” .

The sectional stated that on September 15 of this year, the company will carry out a guided tour for those who aspire to integrate the fire house.

“It is like a personalized call for each resident who comes forward and aspires to be a member of our fire house. There is a link on the Facebook page so that people can register,” reported Córdova.

He added: “I have only been a sectionalist for a few months, but I have been an applicant/applicant for the company for 2 years. I remember that I entered the firefighters’ house for the first time on January 2, 2020 and I did not know the dynamics of being a firefighter and thought that it was only for adults.

Finally, Córdova urged the population to participate in the presentation that the firefighters will make on September 15.

“A few days after being a sectional, an incident occurred where a young man was starring in a case of cardiac arrest. At that time there was only the driver and I, and in this situation we proceeded to attend to the aid, achieving a positive result. Due to this we can guarantee that the Huancavelica firefighters are prepared to attend to the cases that require our services.”

It should be noted that, among the requirements to apply to be a firefighter is the age, which must range between 16 and 29 years of age, also that the applicants have good physical and mental health, among other requirements that are on the fan page of the fire company.
