Ginnette Bournigal to the ARS: “earn less and try to protect more”

Ginnette Bournigal a las ARS: “ganen menos y traten de proteger más”

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Health Risk Administrators (ARS)under fire in recent weeks from the medical podiums, receive another dart, this time from a senator of the Republic.

“That they earn less and try to protect more, is a general complaint”, spoke the senator of the province Puerto Plata, Ginnette Bournigal.

The legislator asked the intermediary companies in health services to do their part so that a better health system works in the country.

“CONEP dared and proposed a salary increase. At this time of crisis, I think that insurers (ARS) have to think that they should earn less and protect more. It is a moment of reflection, it is a call that we make.

He said that there is a global and national situation that requires all sectors to agree.

“There is now a global crisis that is affecting us all,” he said.

Bournigal spoke at the presentation of the Good Practices Guide for the patient, prepared by the Dominican Association of Representatives, Producers and Pharmaceutical Agents (ARAPF).

Week begins with siege of ARS and AFP

The week has clear dark for the Health Risk Administrators (ARS), with actions that unions and medical societies will keep glued to the wall. The outlook is not favourable.

On Wednesday, the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) will hold a march to the building of the National Social Security Councilwhile the Dominican College of Surgeons maintains the suspension of services to patients affiliated with several ARS.

And the Dominican Society of Anesthesiology points the gun at these intermediaries in health services, as it announced that in the coming days it will meet as a board to analyze what actions to take to claim better fees, among other points.

The march of the trade unionists, who have joined medical societies and related professional associations, will begin at 10:00 in the morning and will travel through several streets and avenues to culminate in the building where the CNSS is housed.

The demands of the march will include the elimination of the ARS and the Pension Fund Insurers (AFP).

Definitely, this week the pressure of union doctors and specialized societies will remain on the public agenda.
