In Guárico state, on September 3, 70% of the 463 heads of Hugo Chávez Battle Units (UBCh), were renewed and the other 30% ratified, in the recent process of elections of structures that ended to the first cycle of renewal of new leaderships of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
This was reported this Saturday, from a press conference in the Hugo Chávez hall of the Olympic City in San Juan de los Morros, the deputy to the National Assembly and state liaison for the PSUV in Guárico, Hugbel Roa, accompanied by the governor of the entity, José Vásquez, assuring that, in the region, “the renewal of the bases where our people chose their leaderships was fulfilled”.
“I believe that the intention of our president and the first vice president of the party, Diosdado Cabello, was fulfilled, that is, we let our people go and participate without having to be coerced,” he added.
He argued that the participation of the militants of the red tent during the process, was increased to 30% before the assemblies of previous renewals. At the same time, she highlighted that women obtained 54% of these new UBCh leadership positions.
He mentioned that the percentage that accumulates the renovation of all the structures in the state of the plains, “represents 55% of new elected faces.”
He stressed that the renovation process of each structure in the Llanera town was carried out normally, pointing out that the incidents presented accumulated less than 0.01% of all the assemblies carried out.
More UBCh figures in Guárico
For his part, the state governor, José Vásquez, highlighted that 324 heads of Hugo Chávez Battle Units are new leaders and 139 were ratified.
He assured that 8% were young, which represents a total of 28 heads of UBCh, “but in almost 80% of the structures there are young people”, recalling that this leadership is made up of 10 members.
Likewise, Vásquez congratulated and thanked the party members and sympathizers who participated in the first cycle of renovation of the red awning structures.
New tasks of the PSUV Guárico
Hugbel Roa pointed out that, together with the governor and the 15 mayors of Guariqueña, «we are going to start a process of consolidating our party houses. We are going to work hard and give them life », she specified with reference to the different situational rooms arranged in the region.
He announced that the socialist party, in the coming days, will present, together with the National Directorate, different central activities in order to vindicate and swear in the new street, community and UBCh chiefs.
“Now our structure, today more than ever, is consolidated and ready for any battle that may arise,” he said.
Regarding the call by the national leadership of the Chavista party to establish new alliances, Roa explained that they had recently approached the state political teams of the Patria Para Todos (PPT) and Alianza para el Cambio parties.
He also reported that they plan to carry out activities with the Tupamaro Revolutionary Movement and with the Podemos political organization.
“We are going to find a way to provide them with all possible support within the framework of politics, within the framework of supporting President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian revolution,” he stated.
