New sanitary control measures for those arriving from abroad

So far in November, more than 400 international flights have already arrived in the country

Once in the national territory, people must carry the documentation for 14 days.

The national government this Friday ordered new control measures for the coronavirus pandemic, among which new requirements stand out for international passenger transport operating companies and for those who enter the country from abroad.

The news were communicated through an administrative decision signed by the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur, the Interior Minister, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro, and the head of the health portfolio, Carla Vizzotti.

The most outstanding point is that from now on it will be the “operators”, that is, the passenger transport companies that “without exception” must “check” that the passenger has complied with all health requirements before boarding.

In this sense, they must control, in each case, the sworn statement of migrations, the Negative PCR test performed in the country of origin within the previous 72 hours at the beginning of the trip or a certificate of medical discharge issued within the last 90 days prior to the start of the trip and a positive PCR that certifies that he suffered the disease in that period corresponding to said medical discharge.

It must also be verified that the passenger proves having completed the vaccination schedule at least 14 days before of your entry into the country or your exemption and the Covid-19 health insurance, with coverage of hospitalization services, isolation and / or medical transfers, for those who are positive cases, suspects or close contacts.

Once in the national territory – it is clarified in the Administrative Decision published in the Official Gazette- people must carry, for 14 days afterwards, the documentation to account for compliance with sanitary requirements.

Ships and cruises

They also fix new criteria for the relief of crews of international ships made up of foreigners and new requirements for Cruises to Antarctica and Bioceanic Cruises in Argentina.

With regard to cruises, it is announced that, in the event of an outbreak, the sample from the PCR test will be sequenced and the quarantine of the entire ship to rule out that it is the Omicron strain of coronavirus.

In the case of this variant, the entire crew will be quarantined.

Outside of the administrative decision, the Ministry of Health recalled that As of January 1, 2022, the health pass will take effect for everyone 13 years of age or older who want to participate in activities such as going to dance to discos, enter party rooms, take group trips and attend massive events in open, closed or outdoor spaces.

This pass is granted after the accreditation of the “complete vaccination” to the two-dose schedule with an interval of 14 days or more from the last applied or in cases of a single dose, such as the Cansino vaccine, after 14 days. or more from your application.
