Cuba identified 18 cases of COVID-19 this Friday, according to the part that published today by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap). 21 people were discharged and 220 were hospitalized for the disease.
However, 104 were suspected of having been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 116 added the confirmed assets. In intensive care rooms a person was reported in serious condition.
The laboratories processed 1895 samples and, of the positive ones, 14 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases while two were the total number of patients in whom the cause of their infection was not specified. Imported cases also closed in two.

Ten provinces reported new infections, but none registered figures above 10. Holguín had the highest numbers, but they respond to six cases.
By age ranges, nine included those under 20 years of age, three corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years, four to 40 to 59, and two were over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 remain at 8,530 and the fatality rate at 0.77% in Cuba.
