And to obtain these results, he noted, the Sedena, the Secretary of the Navy, the National Guard and the state governments work in a coordinated manner.
“We can fight, we said it today, for anything, but, what’s more, we don’t fight either, it’s forbidden to fight anymore. Much less are we going to fight when it comes to the security of the town. We have to unite,” he said.
At the event, where he was received amid demonstrations of support for his government, López Obrador said that he was attending to the needs of the people.
“People are not bad, the Mexican is not bad by nature, it is the circumstances that lead some to take the path of antisocial behavior. That is why I maintain that if there is well-being, you will see peace and tranquility, ”he noted.

Accompanied by the Governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro, the Secretary of Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, as well as federal and local officials, he said that because of the strength of Mexican families and the values of Mexico, “we are going to get ahead.”
The National Guard – an institution that as of this Saturday depends administratively and operationally on the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) – currently has more than 100,000 elements and seeks to reach 140,000 elements.
To date, there are 242 National Guard installations, 83 more are under construction and in the next two years, 169 barracks will be built.
In the state of Jalisco there are 30 barracks, while 10 more will be built in the remainder of the year and in 2023.
The Sedena has allocated four spaces of the Army facilities that will be allocated for the same number of National Guard companies.
In addition, there are more than five thousand elements deployed in the state.
