Marcos Cabrera – Popular Renewal
According to the JNE portal, Marcos Cabrera is the youngest candidate for mayor of San Miguel to run in the current electoral contest at 34 years old. Likewise, the candidate for Popular Renewal currently works as a district councilor of said commune. On the educational side, Cabrera stated in his resume that he only has completed primary and secondary education.
What does Marcos Cabrera propose?
- In the field of citizen security, the candidate proposes a technical and professional system that will consist of implementing an application with panic buttons and security cameras. This would be done in conjunction with the National Police of Peru.
- Faced with the problem of vehicular congestion, it presents the “Viaducto Bertolotto” project, which will release vehicular density in surrounding streets. Likewise, with this work he plans to lay the first stone so that San Miguel has its first spa on its coast.

Eduardo Bless – Advance Country
Eduardo Bless is a Peruvian lawyer and politician and former mayor of San Miguel during the period 2014-2017. Currently, he has been the deputy mayor of San Miguel since 2018.

Erika Diaz – We are Peru
According to her resume submitted to the JNE, Erika Díaz is a professional teacher with a doctorate in Education from Marcelino Champagnat University. Likewise, on her social networks, she points out that she has been a San Miguel neighbor for more than 20 years, a fact that has led her to learn about the problems in which the district lives.
What does Erika Díaz propose?
- In the education sector, the candidate plans to build a new municipal library that will have various tools such as study spaces, holiday fairs and free courses.
- Control noise and environmental pollution, eliminating the causes: emissions of polluting gases produced by combustion engines; high fuel consumption, derived from inefficient driving; and waste generated during its repair or maintenance.
- In their work plan, they will call for private investment with tax reduction and will formalize MSMEs.
- The candidate will manage the relocation of the Maranguita correctional center to take advantage of said space in projects for the good of the district.
Piero Miranda – Front of Hope
Miranda is another young candidate for the municipal seat of San Miguel. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Anthropology from the Pontifice Universidad Católica del Perú. Likewise, he was a San Miguel district councilor during the period 2015-2018.

Salvador Heresi – Podemos Peru
Salvador Heresi is a Peruvian politician and lawyer who was elected mayor of San Miguel three times during the period 2003-2014. After unsuccessfully running for mayor of Lima, the ex-burgomaster from San Miguel returns to the district elections to aspire to the municipal chair of the coastal commune.
What does Salvador Heresi propose?
- Heresi proposes to recover the peace and tranquility of the neighbors with social inclusion policies, promoting the fight against discrimination and violence against women.
- Within the framework of citizen security, he proposes the creation of an application called San Miguel app, which will serve to immediately help neighbors at any time.
- Increase public and private investments within the commune.
- Creation of the San Miguel Lab, an innovation center that will allow San Miguel residents to carry out private ventures with the help of professionals.
Aldo Solari – Purple Party
Aldo Solari is a Peruvian politician who studied a technical career in Communications. For the municipal elections, he postulates with the Purple Party, a political organization in which he plays the role of National Undersecretary of Doctrine.
What does Aldo Solari propose?
- Solari proposes in his government plan to implement an integrated patrolling and surveillance system that includes vehicle reconnaissance.
- Add a comprehensive municipal program that will provide psychological and mental health support for children and parents (guardians). Also, promote nutrition policies.
- Implement a program to help pet protection initiatives in the district. In this way, pet shelters promoted by civil society organizations will be formalized.
- Create the web platform Governemos todos, a program that will have a friendly mechanism for easy access to the official information of the commune for all residents.
It should be noted that the candidacy of Abel Escalante, for the Patriotic Party of Peru, has been declared inadmissible by the National Elections Jury. Meanwhile, Hugo Zevallos, from Alianza para el Progreso, resigned his candidacy as mayor.
