This Friday, September 9, the Montevideo Departmental Commission of the National Party held its tribute ceremony at the foot of the monument to Aparicio Saravia in Millán and Luis Alberto de Herrera, within the framework of the 118th anniversary of the death of the nationalist leader.
The March for Aparicio 2022, moves towards Masoller
With posterity, the 17th March for Aparicio began, from towns and cities, towards Masoller.
“The united whites of the country are heading north where the great nationalist leader gave his life for his ideals and his beloved homeland. Women, men, young people and children, many of them on horseback, rain or shine, these days feel the need to express and pay, with honor, their tribute to General Saravia,” he said in a statement.
The cavalry departed from El FortĂn, stopped in Curticeiras for a typical lunch and in the afternoon awaited the meeting of the columns of horsemen who arrived from different points, to a settlement on Route 5 to spend the night camping.
