The presence of the candidate for the Regional Government of Freedom for him political party Alliance for Progress (APP), César Acuña Peralta, in the Plaza de Armas of Alto Trujillogenerated outbursts of violence among residents of the area.
22 days for regional elections and municipal authorities, Acuña supporters had no better idea than to organize a rally in support of their leader for Friday, September 9, in the Plaza Mayor of that sector of the populous district of El Porvenir, which was broadcast through flyers, loudspeakers and social networks.
Starting at 3:00 pm, APP supporters began to arrive in vans and buses to encourage the party’s founder; however, a large number of settlers who declared César Acuña persona non grata and blame him for paralyzing the process of districting Alto Trujillo.

The opposition group, carrying signs of rejection at the head of APP and launching harangues such as: “Bye, bye, APP!” They tried to break the police cordon of agents from the National Directorate of Special Operations (Dinoes) and the Special Services Unit (USE) that were in the place to approach the stage where César Acuña was going to appear.
A group of APEP leaders came out to meet him and generated clashes to pushes and blows.
