Operation Cronos launched in the province of Colón

The Public Ministry represented by the superior prosecutor of Colón and Guna Yala, Melissa Navarro, participated this Friday, September 9, 2022, in the launch ceremony of “Operation Cronos”, which seeks to guarantee security to the population.

With the presence of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Colón and Guna Yala in this act, the willingness of the Public Ministry to support the security forces is demonstrated, as has always been done in the various operations.

Also present at the ceremony was the Minister of Public Security, Juan Pino, who stated that “Operation Cronos” will strengthen security in the coastal areas of the provinces of Panama, West Panama and Colon.

During the launch of “Operation Cronos” at the Admiral Cristóbal Colón Base, in Sherman, 130 units from the security forces were deployed through air, sea and land space.

Also present were prosecutors Eduardo Rodríguez, from the Colón and Guna Yala Drug Prosecutor’s Office, and prosecutor Keyla Pérez, from the Colón and Guna Yala Primary Care Section.
