The Public Ministry (MP) began the active extradition process against the former Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Rafael Ramírez, for his involvement in Operation Atlantic, and for the case of money laundering in Andorra, reported this Friday the attorney general of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.

“Today we are reporting that we have requested the start of the active extradition process against the former president of PDVSA, Rafael Ramírez, for the Operation Atlantic case and for the case of money laundering as a result of corruption in Andorra,” said the Attorney General during a press conference in which he detailed new data on the case of megafraud to Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).

Likewise, Saab stressed that the start of the extradition process against Nervis Villalobos, former deputy minister of electrical energy, was also requested for his involvement in this case.
