Officially presented his resignation as director of the Banco de Previsión Social (BPS), representing the passive, Sixto Amaro. The dismissal was through a brief message sent to all the media this week.
His work will continue in the National Organization of Retirees and Pensioners Associations of Uruguay (Onajpu), an organization in which he worked until he was elected to the BPS.
Since August, his substitute Ariel Ferrari has been occupying the title in the BPS, who will continue in the work by stepping aside, Amaro, after 13 years in the position.
“I inform you that as of September 1 I have ceased to be the representative director of retirees and pensioners in the board of Banco de Previsión Social to assume functions as secretary general of Onajpu (National Organization of Retirees and Pensioners Associations of Uruguay) . From this new role I will continue to dedicate my efforts to improving the quality of life of the passive. I thank you all for these almost 13 years in which, with the professionalism that characterizes you, you have dedicated yourself to covering and disseminating priority issues for retirees and pensioners in the country. I hope to be able to continue the bond that we have developed during this time and I put myself at the service of all of you, ”says Amaro in his brief message.
