The text, promoted by deputies Arnaldo Samaniego (ANR-Capital), and Celeste Amarilla (PLRA-Capital), asks the institution for data on the implementation of Law No. 5414/2015 “Promoting the reduction of the use of plastic polyethylene”.
The document inquires about the number of businesses in general that have replaced the use of single-use polyethylene bags with reusable ones.
It is also requested, on the plan established by the MIC, with the municipalities to coordinate the application of said current norm.
The initiative also requests data on the quality standards guide established in coordination with the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development (Mades), which must comply with the use of biodegradable bags and non-polluting alternatives.
Finally, it requires a report on the inspection of businesses, and the number of businesses, in general, that have been sanctioned for non-compliance or violation of current law, in addition to the amount collected in said concept.
