The operation was led by Colonel Gregorio Candelario, head of the Corps of this municipality.
“We got a call from National 9-1-1 Emergency Attention System and they informed us that a business was on fire,” reported Candelario.
He indicated that when they arrived at La Gomera they realized that the second level was on fire.
“The tires that were stored and used on the second level were burning. And we immediately proceeded to put out the fire,” she explained.
He stated that the internal part of the establishment was not damaged, only the external part.
“The part of the roof was damaged and the tires used, only that,” he said.
Likewise, he narrated that there were workers and security personnel in La Gomera, but they were not harmed.
He said that when the accident occurred on an open roof, this facilitated the extinction operation.

“The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.. The technical department will be doing the site investigations to determine the cause”, he concluded.
