Jesús González de Zárate highlighted the importance of “building bridges where there are none” and “patiently enlightening minds that are confused in closed positions that lead nowhere.” He recalled that the Virgin of the Valley and Jesus Christ are “influencers” who indicate a way of how to behave and help others
The president of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference, Monsignor Jesús González de Zárate, presided this Thursday, September 8, at the Eucharist to commemorate more than 100 years of the canonical coronation of the Virgen del Valle, where he affirmed that Venezuelans “are called to walk together” in the construction of a better country.
González de Zárate affirmed that the union of Venezuelans must be promoted through the encouragement of tolerance, respect and trust among citizens, as well as overcoming the differences and disagreements that have been registered in the past that allow “weaving new relationships and deep” to move forward.
“Correct when it is necessary to correct. Correct what needs to be corrected and learn from each other », he remarked.

He stressed the importance of “building bridges where there are none” and “patiently enlightening minds beclouded in closed positions that lead nowhere.” He said that it is necessary to promote spirit, creativity and teamwork to make a better country but with all Venezuelans and more with those who have a different thought.
Monsignor González de Zárate affirmed that Venezuelans should not remain static or on the sidelines of the painful situations that are taking place in the country, but should instead seek ways to be more active in building society for the common good.
He recalled that the Virgin of the Valley and Jesus Christ are “influencers” who indicate a way of how to behave and help others. This, in turn, helps to create a “family climate” that will help to persevere in the difficulties that may arise.
