A new traffic accident was recorded, this Wednesday, on Soublette Avenue, at the height of the 10 de Marzo blocks, in the state of La Guaira, when a public transport unit hit a tree.
It was known that twelve people were injured and no human losses were recorded.
Apparently, the vehicle would have lost its brakes and in an attempt by the driver to stop it, it hit a tree.
The unit involved in the event is a Ford van, Andean model, license plate 09AC8VL, which covers the Catia La Mar-Macuto route.
The bus was carrying only twelve passengers at the time of the accident, which occurred near the stop located at block 2 of the Prolongation March 10.
The injured were transferred to the Hospital Doctor Rafael Medina Jiménez, Periférico de Pariata. There they were treated by the doctors on duty, who diagnosed injuries of varying intensity.
Law enforcement officials attended the incident.
There are three accidents on Soublette Avenue
To date, three traffic accidents have been recorded on Soublette Avenue in La Guaira, in less than a month, due to excessive speed or loss of brakes of the transport units, and around fifteen injuries have been recorded.
The first accident occurred on August 18, when three private vehicles and a 350 cava-type truck were hit by a barge that had lost its brakes when it was circulating from the El Trébol Distributor, heading towards the port of La Guaira, resulting in four people wounds.
On August 24, the second incident was recorded when a unit of the Metrobús system crashed on the March 10 walkway, on Soublette Avenue, at the height of the church in that sector. The driver of the unit was injured in the incident.
The authorities estimate that the bus lost control on the descent through the wet floor, when it overturned it occupied almost all the channels of Soublette Avenue, west-east direction and affected the footbridge.

On the Caracas – La Guaira highway, a road safety device was installed by the Bolivarian National Guard and the entity’s Road Safety Service, where a speed control gun is used, in order to verify compliance with traffic limits. speed established in this important road artery.
