The Municipal Theater Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Fluminense Federal University performed today (7), at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, in a celebration of the Brazil Communication Company (EBC) which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the first official radio broadcast in Brazil.
On September 7, 1922, the same O Guarani was broadcast directly from the Municipal Theater, in commemoration of the centenary of the Independence of Brazil. Conductor is Felipe Prazeres. The show will feature solos by tenor Eric Herrero and soprano Maria Gerk.
