The first vice president of Congress, Martha Moyano (Popular Force), decided to suspend the session of the Permanent Commission that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 6.
Through a statement, the Senior Parliamentary official, José Cevasco, informed the members of this parliamentary group that the decision was made by Moyano, who will be in charge of the Presidency of Parliament as a result of the censorship of Lady Camones (Alliance for Progress ).
“By order of the First Vice President in charge of the Presidency of the Congress of the Republic, it is communicated that the session of the Permanent Commission convened for Tuesday, September 6, 2022 is suspended″, reads the statement.
This suspension occurs after this Monday Camones Soriano was censored from the Presidency of the Legislative Board of Directors by the Plenary of Congress, as a result of the audios that the APP leader stars with and that were broadcast by Epicentro TV.
In said material, Acuña Peralta, candidate for regional governor of La Libertad, is heard asking Camones and other members of the caucus to expedite the approval of the creation of the Alto Trujillo district.
The motion of censure was presented by congressmen from various parties. Among them were: Free Peru, Democratic Peru, Democratic Change, Bicentennial Peru and Integrity and Development.
Likewise, the legislators pointed out that, given what was heard in the material, the head of Parliament would have committed the crimes of usurpation of functions, illegal sponsorship and influence peddling.
