The little ones, just a few days old, were the ones who, through the joint work of the Mariano Moreno Municipal Library and the Eduvim publishing house of the National University of Villa Maria (UNVM), received libraries and membership cards from the city’s popular library.

“Today we feel proud to bring to the entire city a State policy of these characteristics, because there is no program like this in the whole countrywhich will arrive through the Bibliomóvil to each family of newborns to carry out a cultural baptism”, emphasized Gill.

In that order, he considered: “Today Villa María is, more than ever, a City of Learning, a city that lives and feels culture in each of its corners.”

The launch of the program took place in the auditorium of the Medioteca, in an act in which the head of the Córdoba Cultura Agency, Nora Bedano, and the rector of the UNVM, were also present. Luis Negrotti.

The initiative, which has funding from the European Union, through the Integrated Development Program, aims to guarantee access to culture, promote equal opportunities and access to health.

Within the first 15 days of each baby’s life, a vehicle specially prepared and equipped as Bibliomóvil will go to your home and provide your family with information on the importance of reading and language acquisition, children’s rights and their implications, as well as the importance of complying with the official vaccination schedule.

In addition, the family will be given a library with a set of initial books, then, when attending the Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS) to receive the calendar vaccinations, books will be given so that the family unit can complete their first Library.

The procedure will continue throughout the vaccination cycle until the corresponding vaccine at 15 months, delivering seven books and a puzzle for each boy or girl at the end of the program. All titles were specially selected and edited by Eduvim.
