Ortega Police continue their "surveillance" against Father Harving Padilla

The father Harvey Padilla, who was the parish priest of the San Juan Bautista church in Masaya, continues to be the object of “surveillance” and siege by paramilitaries at the service of the Daniel Ortega regime, as reported to Article 66 sources on condition of anonymity.

The report revealed that last week paramilitaries were stationed at the entrance of the La Purisima Archdiocesan Seminary in Managua, where the religious has been since May, after being forced to leave the San Juan parish in Masaya, after the siege by the Ortega Police.

Other sources indicated that the Police and plainclothes men were in the city of Masaya looking for the priest in order to know “what his fate was,” but “the father was ill and did not leave Managua,” they reported.

On the other hand, a religious source said that Father Padilla recently went out to officiate at a church in the capital, but when “the days of religious acts were over, paramilitaries arrived at the place and the father was no longer able to continue collaborating with the another priest.
