A 22-year-old man was arrested in Mariano Roque Alonso after brutally assaulting his partner, who was holding their 7-month-old baby. The victim remained locked up for more than 24 hours, according to the complaint.
Esteban Daniel Arévalos (22) was arrested this Sunday by agents from the 10th Police Station of Mariano Roque Alonso in the La Amistad settlement for a case of family violence.
According to the complaint, the man would have kept his sentimental partner, 20 years old, locked up for more than a day, whom he brutally assaulted during all the hours that the confinement lasted.
The victim suffered injuries to various parts of the body as a result of the multiple blows he received from this young man, who apparently had been under the influence of drugs.
All this situation occurred while the young woman was holding her 7-month-old baby in her arms, although it has not been confirmed if she was also attacked.
The Cryo. Emilio Alfonso told channel C9N that the woman went to the police station in the company of a neighbor to file the complaint. At that time, she was very scared and with obvious signs of having been attacked.
At the time of taking intervention and going to the house, Arévalos did not want to deliver the baby, so the police officers had to resort to force to achieve it and thus return it to its mother.
“The young man threatened to kill everyone and then commit suicide,” the commissioner mentioned, pointing out the expressions of the now detained man.
