The Diospi Suyana hospital, which means “Hope of God” in Quechua, is located in the district of Curahuasi, province of Abancay, Apurímac region and has just completed 15 years of service to low-income people.

It should be noted that, throughout this time of operation, the hospital served more than 470,500 people who come from Puno, Cusco, Arequipa, Apurímac, and other parts of the country.
Diospi Suyana has top technology and is run by husband and wife Klaus-Dieter and Martina John. The medical center charges four soles per medical appointment, so that low-income people can have access to health.
“These fifteen years, the goal we have set for ourselves has yielded results. Each case for us is a test that God puts on us, to continue serving others, allowing people to have access to medical care as if they were in the best medical centers in the country. It is a dream come true”expressed Martina John for La República.
