As of this Sunday, September 4, 2022, the hearing of This week will be able to financially support the independent journalism of CONFIDENTIAL through two tools that we have enabled in ConfidentialNica, our YouTube channel. It’s about the Super Chats and the Super Thanks.
With the support of our audience, CONFIDENTIAL will guarantee that access to its journalistic content remains open and free for all people, without paywalls, at a key moment in the history of Nicaragua.
How to make a donation with Super Chat and Super Thanks?
In broadcasts of This week (Sundays), Tonight (Wednesday) and Radio Confidential (Friday), users will have the opportunity to send donations through the live comment section (Super Chats).
By indicating the amount they wish to contribute and making the payment, their comment will have a prominent position within the conversation. Furthermore, in the case of Radio Confidentialgreetings or comments on the coverage will be read live.
On the other hand, those who wish to send a financial contribution without appearing as featured in the live chat, can do so with the Super Thanks (Super Thanks, in English). All you have to do is click on the heart icon, which appears in the bottom bar of the video, indicate the amount of your preference and make the donation.
This option has also been enabled for our special reports and pre-recorded segments: The Last Look Newswith Juan Carlos Ampié; Wednesday-Tuesday Newswith Elmer Rivas, the animated cartoon, with PxMolina; The Classics, The Report, among others.
Confidencial Nica, a growing channel on YouTube
Since the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo censored the programs This week Y Tonight of Nicaraguan television, in January 2019 —violating the right to freedom of the press and dissemination of information— digital platforms such as our YouTube channel ConfidentialNica and our Facebook page They have been fundamental in defeating government censorship and reporting on the abuses that the State commits against Nicaraguan citizens.
Despite siege and exile, our newsroom does independent journalism backed by an audience that has grown exponentially on YouTube in the last three years, now reaching 384,000 subscribers.
CONFIDENTIAL also has a Membership Program, through which readers guarantee open and free access to the media’s journalistic content and its sustainability. YouTube’s Super Chats and Super Thanks are a new way to strengthen this support.
In case of questions about the use of Super Chats and Super Thanks, you can write to us at [email protected].
