Through the development of an intelligence operation, the National Police together with the Public Ministry carried out the raid and search of a residence and a vehicle, in the Villas Alegre neighborhood of Vista Alegre, in the district of Arraiján, seizing 920 thousand 230 dollars. in cash of doubtful origin.
The Director General of the National Police, Jhon Omar Dornheim, explained that so far in 2022, he has seized more than 3.5 million dollars from organized crime.
For his part, the West Panama drug prosecutor, Carlos Batista, stated that part of the money, 909,690 dollars, was found inside a white pick-up vehicle, which had a double bottom in its structure and 10,000 540 dollars at the residence of the defendant, a Colombian national.
After this important seizure, a citizen of Colombian nationality was apprehended, being placed under the orders of the West Panama Drug Prosecutor’s Office to be brought before a Judge of Guarantees in the next few hours, he already maintained a precautionary measure of periodic report for an investigation. for which he was charged with the crime of aggravated possession of drugs, in 2019.
