The Argentine ambassador to China, Sabino Vaca Narvaja, visited a mine in the city of Changzhi where he was able to test the 5G technology developed by a company from that country incorporated into the operation, and highlighted “the impact that technology has to make the sector grow mining in a sustainable, efficient and safe way”.

In this way, Vaca Narvaja went to the Sanyuan mine, during his official visit to the province of Shanxi invited by the Foreign Affairs Office, to later hold a meeting with Governor Lan Fo’an.

“When our President visited China last February, Mr. Ren Zhengfei himself suggested that we ‘experience first-hand what Huawei can do to improve our mining ventures,’ and today we are fulfilling that mandate,” the Argentine ambassador assured the delegation present .

In this regard, Vaca Narvaja maintained: “It is the first time that I have the opportunity to experience the impact that technology has to make the mining sector grow in a sustainable, efficient and safe way”.

The national official stressed that Argentina is highly valued in China for its minerals, but that the country “is far from having reached its full potential.”

“Therefore, when Ren Zhengfei invited us to this place, I knew that it would be an excellent opportunity to reaffirm that Huawei is a strategic partner for our economic development,” said Vaca Narvaja.

At the end of his speech, the Argentine representative informed that the Embassy he leads will join forces with Huawei to consolidate a plan that helps more Argentine mining enterprises to modernize their operations through the use of this technology.

After the visit, during the press conference before the accredited journalists in Shanxi, Sabino Vaca Narvaja stated: “The transfer of technology is essential to reach our mining potential, China must be our partner to modernize the Argentine productive apparatus and obtain the necessary foreign exchange that support national development.

During the meeting with the governor of Shanxi, Vaca Narvaja and Lan Fo’an reviewed the bilateral agenda and agreed to hold a seminar on economic and cultural cooperation between the Chinese province and the Argentine provinces Salta and Corrientes.
