Sarmiento de Junín won this Saturday 2-1 against Aldosivi in the city of Mar del Plata, and kept the three points of a key crossover for both teams in the fight for permanence, corresponding to the 17th. date of the Professional Football League.

The visitor’s goals were converted by Luciano Gondou from a penalty (15m.PT) and by Lisandro López (17m.ST), while Martín Cauteruccio had tied the locals (1m.ST).

With this result, the Junín team managed to return to victory after four rounds and reached 22 points in the tournament, but above all they managed to get some air in the fight for permanence.

Aldosivi, for his part, remains second to last with 13 points, and left José María Minella in the direct relegation zone, unable to shorten the difference with Central Córdoba, another one committed to the average, which last Thursday fell 2 to 0 against Hurricane.

The “Tiburón” tried to handle the initiative from the start, with good movements from the Colombian Juan Cuesta Baena on the left, but before the match finished, the local defender Patricio Boolsen knocked Gondou down inside the area, and the scorer had the chance to make it 1-0, although he was only able to do so with a left foot shot low to the left by José Devecchi in the second execution of the penalty, since the first had been stopped, but the referee understood that the goalkeeper had gone ahead.

Aldosivi went for the tie, and the clearest came through Cuesta Baena, at 21 with a right shot deflected from above and at 34 with a definition just outside the near post by Sebastián Meza, after a long pass through Boolsen’s space for the right band.

Sarmiento settled into the advantage, pressed in the middle of the field and looked for a play that would put Gondou hand in hand with Aldosivi’s last line.

The locals had more than 60 percent possession in the first half, but failed to capitalize on it, beyond continuing to insist with shots from outside, like the one Braian Martínez had in closing.

After a minute of play in the second half, after a good combination on the right between Martínez and Leandro Maciel, Cauteruccio was enabled inside the area, who equalized with his left foot.

When Leandro Somoza’s team seemed better off after 1-1, Sarmiento went ahead and managed to create danger with stopped balls.

After a rebound from a corner at 17, Lucas Castro hooked inside the area and sent a rainy cross that “Licha” López hit with a popcorn at the far post, to put the Junín team back in the lead.

Aldosivi went again in search of equality, and demanded Meza twice, first with a shot from Martínez entering the far post at 20 minutes and three minutes later with a crossed definition with a right hand from Cauteruccio, after a new pass by Maciel, which the goalkeeper sent to the corner with his right hand.

For the last quarter of the match, Somoza sent Santiago Silva on the field and put together a three-man defense, but Sarmiento held him and came close to extending the lead in the 39th after a cross from Castro that newcomer Yair Arismendi combed alone in front of Devecchi, who diverted to the corner.

The next date, Aldosivi will visit Independiente, while Sarmiento will visit Unión in Santa Fe.
