The Minsal confirmed 5,100 new cases of Covid-19, with a positivity of 10.30% in the last 24 hours at the national level, after carrying out 51,319 exams, PCR and antigen tests.
The health authority assured that all regions of the country decreased their confirmed cases in the last seven and 14 days.
According to sample collection, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are O’Higgins, Araucanía, Maule and Biobío.
Meanwhile, the Atacama region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the Ñuble, Los Ríos, and Maule regions, while daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 9.61%.
According to today’s report, of the total new cases of Covid-19, 3,011 correspond to symptomatic people and 870 do not present symptoms. In addition, 1,219 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with the virus in the country reaches 4,527,533. Of this total, 24,472 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 4,434,820.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 28 deaths from causes associated with the coronavirus. The total number of deceased amounts to 60,571 in the country.
To date, 137 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 91 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 272 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 51,319 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 44,152,825 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 10.30% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 9.61%.
Regarding the Sanitary Residences, we have 31 accommodation facilities, with a total of 2,113 beds. The actual occupancy at the national level is 49%, leaving a total of 811 beds available for use.
