The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, participates this Saturday in a session of the extraordinary Council of Ministers at the Government Palace.
The meeting with the members of the Cabinet headed by Aníbal Torres takes place from 8:45 am
Castillo Terrones and the members of the ministerial team participate in this meeting after the plenary session of Congress approved, in two different sessions, two interpellations against different ministers.
Geiner Alvarado, current Minister of Transport and Communications, will be questioned by the plenary session on Monday, September 5, for the investigations that implicate him in acts of corruption when he was in the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation.
In this regard, Aníbal Torres assured that if after the interpellation Alvarado is censored, the Executive will assume the decision because it is the power of Parliament.
“If they censor it, Congress is exercising its power, it may seem good or bad to me. We already know what the solution is going to be, appoint a new Minister of Transport and Communications (…) They are seeing that the minister attends every time they request it “he expressed.
Likewise, the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huerta, will have to go to the plenary session of Congress to respond to the interpellation presented against him for the changes that were made in the National Police, including the General Inspectorate, where President Pedro Castillo hopes that the Colonel Harvey Colchado.
