Therefore, the Departmental Board of Paysandú repudiates this type of acts of vandalism and promotes peaceful and democratic expression that honors the long peaceful tradition of building the rule of law in our country”, the statement indicates.
FA filed a police complaint
For its part, the Broad Front publicly expressed its “total repudiation and concern at the reiteration, for the third time, of the attack on the memorial of General Líber Seregni, on the Artigas Plateau, where his ashes were scattered and a plaque was placed as a tribute. ”.
In this sense, this Friday, September 2, after verifying the vandalism, the FA made the corresponding police report.
“Actions like these are difficult to see isolated from other attacks carried out” such as, for example, the one on the Memorial of the Detained-Disappeared, in the Cerro de Montevideo.
“From this political force, we appeal to coexistence and respect, because they are values that we must not allow to be overwhelmed and go unnoticed in a democratic society”, sentenced the FA.
