Facing the election process of 463 heads of Hugo Chávez Battle Units (UBCh) of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in Guárico state, this Friday, the state team of the red awning, offered details on the process and regulations for the renovation of these new structures.
The deputy to the National Assembly and regional liaison for the PSUV in the Llanero state, Hugbel Roa, pointed out that the head of UBCh is one of the most important figures in the political organization. “He is that man or woman who is there to be able to deliver everything that is the lines of work and to be able to coordinate perfectly with our structure.”
He stressed that the election process for these new leaders will be this Saturday, September 3, starting with the nomination of candidates from 12:00 to 1:00 in the afternoon.
He indicated that, later, the election assemblies of the corresponding structure will be carried out until 6:00 in the afternoon, “as long as there are no more voters (row), otherwise, at that time the process should close,” he said. .
Regulations of the renewal process of UBCh
Roa stressed that only those who are registered in the National Electoral Registry can vote, and only the votes of the voters who participate in the assembly of the corresponding point and circle will be validated.
He mentioned that, for the militancy of the youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV) of 15 years of age and older, “we will have a book where notes will be taken so that they can participate,” he said.
The deputy explained that in the event of a tie for first place, the winner would not be proclaimed and the situation would be evaluated by the auxiliary body, which will indicate the procedure to decide who will be the head of UBCh.
He added that the voter will be able to vote for a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 people.
He noted that no parish, municipal or state leader can participate in several assemblies, they should only vote in the UBCh where they belong. “We have been emphatic that this. It is a clean, transparent process, that the people express themselves in a calm way, “said Roa.
Complaints and nonconformities of Guariqueños in the previous processes
The party’s regional liaison in the state stressed that there have been few complaints that have been filed in the plains entity regarding the election assemblies, at the same time, he specified that they have been evaluated and made the necessary corrections to avoid any distortion of the guidelines established for this internal electoral process.
He indicated that there has been less than 0.5% of the discontent of the militancy, while detailing that there have been 3 specific cases of irregularities in the election assemblies, whose reports have already been addressed by the auxiliary body of the PSUV.
Women and youth assume new PSUV leadership in Guárico
He recognized the leading role of women and youth in the process of renewing the base structures of the Chavista party, indicating that they have “swept away” the new leadership of the political organization.
He pointed out that, compared to the elections of promoters and street leaders, for the recent process of renewal of heads of communities, the number of participation of the militants of the red tent has increased by more than 38%. “The people assume and understand, (…) that the battle that comes to us in 2024 needs unity,” she asserted.
PSUV requires deeply revolutionary UBCH leaders
Regarding the profile of the new leadership, specifically the new heads of Hugo Chávez Battle Units, Roa explained: “We want a person who is profoundly revolutionary and convinced (of) that the most precious asset we have is independence, it is non-negotiable. (…) Convinced that the party defends and assumes the interests of the most needy », he extolled.
The meeting was headed by Freddy Alí Gómez, executive secretary of the PSUV in Guárico state; Eduardo Puerta, party organizer in the entity; Dayana Encinozo, president of the Legislative Council of the Bolivarian state of Guárico (Clebg); Migdalia Hurtado, Executive Secretary for Social Protection and Territorial Management, and other members of the PSUV state team.
