Femicide in hospice: Gorosito’s relatives are arrested for alleged cover-up

The agents of the Special Force to Fight Violence (Felcv) carried out an operation in search of the main accused of femicide in a brothel, Daniel Patricio Gorosito Pérez, but they did not find him. Nevertheless, his mother, sister and brother-in-law were arrested cover-up of course.

The director of the Felcv of Santa Cruz, Carlos Oporto, indicated that the arrest of the relatives of the accused of the femicide of Mery Laura Fernández It was carried out for investigative purposes this Friday. He added that they must testify before the prosecutors who are carrying out the process of this case.

Oporto pointed out that there are elements that confirm that the three peoples communicated by phone calls with Gorosito in recent days, so it is suspected that they know of his whereabouts.

“The Felcv has been working since the first day this femicide was known and will not rest until the main suspect is captured. The arrests for investigative purposes of the mother, sister and brother-in-law have been carried out, who met with the union”, the police chief explained.

For the femicide of Mery Laura Fernández they are detainees in the Palmasola prison: Denis Chacón and Álvaro Mejía Claure. The first was accused of transporting Gorosito in his taxi, after the crime. And the other is a former nightclub security guard who is accused of not helping the victim after being strangled and beaten, in addition to the fact that he is a compadre of the main defendant who is on the run.

The lawyer for the victim’s family, Arleti Tordoya, reported that september 14thand will hold the first hearing to reconstruct the facts for this case, in which it is expected to demonstrate that the two detainees are involved in this femicide.
