The Broad Front denounced this Friday before the police the Theft of the plaque honoring General Líber Seregni on the Plateau of Artigas de Paysandú. The party repudiated and expressed concern at the “repetition for the third time” of an “attack on the memorial”.

The memorial was vandalized and the FA filed a police complaint
Seregni’s ashes were scattered on the Plateau and the party’s plaque was placed there. “Actions like these are difficult to see them isolated of other attacks carried out –among others– to the Memorial of Disappeared Detainees in Montevideo”expressed the party in a statement this Friday.
He added: “From this political force we appeal to coexistence and respect because they are values that we must not allow to be overwhelmed and go unnoticed in a democratic society.”
The memorial was opened in December 2013.
