Infobae made a compilation of the life of the frustrated murderer, which we reproduce below:
Those who frequented Fernando Sabag Montiel years ago jumped out of their chairs last Thursday night. Not every day an old acquaintance tries to kill the Vice President of the Nation with a shot in the face. They knew him by his old nickname, “Tedi”, a boy from Villa del Parque who lived with his father, Fernando, in his house on Terrada street. And in the midst of the chaos, they reminisced.

Ten years ago, “Tedi” Sabag Montiel frequented the circuit of death metal bands, an extreme variant of heavy, darker, revulsive, accelerated, with particularly peaceful and pleasant followers. He did not have a Brazilian accent, despite being born in the State of Sao Paulo. There was nothing Brazilian in the way of him. He followed certain local bands, also a fan of the Austrian group Ektomorf. In that circuit, also among his acquaintances, “Tedi” became an uncomfortable presence, “He gave me chills,” says someone who knew him and saw him regularly.
His posts with insane messages on social networks were constant, almost like his image and style changes, between shirts and rings, or tattoos with symbols taken from the aesthetics of esoteric Nazism, something that surprised his old acquaintances, because nobody had him for Nazi. “He was a freak, but badly”, recalls another regular. His mental health was a point in the conversation about him. If he had a psychiatric diagnosis, no one could pinpoint it. “Tedi” presented a single forehead, or different variations of his forehead, a story told through selfies, in an environment that increased the distance from him more and more. His mother, Viviana, who sold clothes and lived with him on Terrada street, died in 2017 due to respiratory problems. “Tedi” was presented as his sole heir in Civil Court No. 48. He was going for his estate, an old Peugeot.
He had several customs, say those who knew him. He used to propose businesses that were “a delirium”, or wait for famous musicians at the exit of hotels. In March of this year, he posted a video of himself attempting a selfie with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins a week before his death. “Video with Taylor Hawkings from Foo Fighters a week before he died, I feel very strongly about meeting someone before his death,” he posted on Instagram.
At the end of August, “Tedi” had its five minutes of controversy on Crónica TV. He accompanied a young woman who claimed to be his girlfriend, while she sold cotton candy. The young woman said that she no longer received social plans, that she was not in favor of it, because she was “encouraging vagrancy.” On Facebook, on her wall, she recounted her confrontations with “the Peruvian cupbearer mafias,” highly territorial cotton candy vendors. She talked about her fist fights with them.
“Silver is not made magically, but by working,” he said. “We do not endorse discrimination and we justify working foreigners who get up early to run a grocery store and that is why they have 4×4s and trucks because they work and they deserve it, but we do not agree with people who come from outside to occupy a villa and live for free and live on plans without working and selling drugs, they should be extradited”, he later added.
There was one episode in particular. On March 17, 2021, as confirmed by police sources, a Buenos Aires police officer from Police Station 15A reported how he intercepted a black Chevrolet Prisma on his way, without a rear license plate and with the front windows down. Sabag Montiel appeared there, claiming to be an employee of a telephone company. He explained that the patent was missing due to a crash that occurred days before. He decided to unlock the car. When opening one of the doors, a 35 centimeter long knife fell out of the vehicle.
Thus, a misdemeanor act was drawn up with the intervention of the Prosecutor’s Office No. 8 of the jurisdiction and his weapon was seized, a man with a long knife in his car.
The case was filed shortly after. The prosecution stated that the case “was not significant.” But walking around with a long knife and attempting an assassination are two different things.
The immediate fate of Sabag Montiel remains to be defined, with law firms ringing the bell at his home in Villa del Parque seeking to represent him and a case in charge of federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti. Sources in the security agencies slip that the PFA will transfer him to a cell in his office on Madariaga Street in Villa Lugano. The weapon that he took to Juncal and Uruguay, with which he shot Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the face, a 38-caliber Bersa pistol with the number partially filed off, is another point in the story.
He had real bullets, five in all, in a 15-capacity magazine and one in the chamber. What happened, why the shots did not come out, is something that a ballistics expert should clarify: a suspicion of experts indicates that the accused did not activate the slide before firing the trigger.
A first version that also comes from high-ranking sources in security organizations affirms that the pistol was suitable for firing.
