The candidate for the presidency of the Republic by the MDB Simone Tebet fulfills the agenda in Pará, this Friday (2). In the morning, she took part in a walk through the Ver-o-Peso Market, the main postcard of the capital of Pará, Belém. There, the presidential candidate was received by supporters, ate fish with açaí and stopped at the hot seat with the image of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, which is in the center of the market. Participating in the candidate’s entourage are coreligionist politicians who are also vying for a place in the 2022 elections, in addition to Tebet supporters.
Regarding his proposals for the Amazon region, Tebet considered that it is time for the wealth of the Amazon to return to its people. According to her, it is possible to do this without illegally felling any trees. “It is a development with quality of life for those who live here. (…) We are going to make money by bringing billions of dollars to the region, so that it generates quality jobs for people”, she said.
The candidate reiterated that her candidacy is an alternative to political polarization and defended the pacification of Brazil to unite families again. Tebet assessed that women are identifying with her project. “We are today the only way capable of uniting Brazil, guaranteeing the peace that we need for Brazil to grow again, generate employment and guarantee happiness for people”, she said.
Even today, the Emedebista candidate will participate in a lunch at the Hotel Princesa Louçã, on Avenida Presidente Vargas, with the state governor and candidate for reelection Helder Barbalho, business entities and civil society leaders. In the afternoon, Simone Tebet will take another walk, this time in Santarém, in the west of the state, leaving from Praça Tiradentes, in the Aldeia neighborhood.
