This Friday marks the 10th anniversary of the death of the young José Carlos Hernández, who was stabbed to death 27 times in a bar on Winston Churchill Avenue, on the corner of José Amado Soler, during a heavy rock concert.
His mother, the journalist María del Carmen Hernández, remembered the death of her son with an emotional photo accompanied by an emotional message on her Facebook account.
“As much as I wish you were here, I know you would be enjoying your nephew. The growth and development of your sisters, filling my heart with your presence and love but on a day like today 10 years ago those murders took your life. Always on my mind my son. I love you,” he wrote.
The Fourth Collegiate Court of the National District imposed the maximum sentence against Miguel Bautista Mota, Máximo Almánzar Guerra, Jesaías Benjamín Mota, Jorge de Jesús Mancebo and Argenis Batista Rodríguez for the murder of young José Carlos Hernández. While those acquitted are Dyango Xavier Ramírez and Irving Frank Matos.
The court accepted the evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office, represented by prosecutors Dennys Silvestre and Kelvyn Colón.
During the trial, evidence collected at the crime scene, related to the investigation, was presented.
Likewise, the act of voluntary delivery of a ten-inch knife by the accused Bautista Mota was contradictorily debated.

The young José Carlos Hernández Hernández was a musician in a rock band, and lived in Argentina.
At the time of his murder, he had been in the country for several days on vacation. He was the son of merengue singer Jochy Hernández, and newscaster and actress María del Carmen Hernández.
José Carlos was the drummer of the rock group Exsanguination Throne with whom he performed in concerts in Argentina and the world.
