Seven years ago, Adry Vargas (29) did not think twice, packed her bags and, together with her little Valentina Putz (9), undertook the journey that would change her life.
The two arrived in Mexico, a country unknown to both. But little by little, this brave mom made her way into music, something she had dreamed of since she was a child.
Now, Adry triumphs abroad and this Friday he launches his new musical theme: “Love me again”, to this is added that he will have his television program in the Aztec country and that he will be as a guest in Expocruz 2022.
_How are you doing in Mexico?
Incredible. I am immensely happy for all the doors that are opening for me. People have received the songs very well and the media have been very nice. We’re about to launch my own TV show on EXA TV, where I’ll be interviewing artists and showing the B-side of the world of entertainment.
_If you had to choose one of all your songs, what would it be and why?
I have one that we will launch next year. The song is as if we were talking to our inner boy and girl, it is a song that seeks to empower and embrace wounds and, above all, become what we dreamed of as children.
Which the subject on which you have not yet been able to compose and would like to?
I would love to write about bullying. I was a girl who suffered it and who felt that she did not fit the mold. Now one of the messages that I most seek to convey is to be yourself and to be able to believe in yourself. Each one of us has a different, beautiful and unique shine, which we often hide to fit in.
_What music or songs do you play when you’re alone?
I’m a ‘drama queen’, I love sad ballads, boleros, but I also really like listening to moving songs and dancing. I love being able to discover new music and explore new genres.
_What is the song of the new album that you like the most or that you identify with the most?
Love me again, since the history of this song is very curious and how things happened. I started uploading stories to my networks with questions about the exes and I got many answers, among them, several that took me to different moments and situations in my life. I realized that the female audience does not have many songs in which they assume the responsibility for their actions and apologize.
_You were a young mother and you got ahead alone. What do you say to all those young girls who are going through the same thing?
A son doesn’t take away your dreams, he drives you to achieve it. It is true that it costs a little more, but for me, my daughter, she gave me the strength and maturity to be able to go after what I want. For me it is important to be able to tell my daughter that dreams are achieved with work and effort and that nothing and no one can take away the desire to dream and improve yourself every day.
