From the official Twitter account, the Broad Front expressed its rejection of the “attack” suffered just minutes ago by the Argentine vice president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
The incident occurred when the hierarch arrived at her house, which was surrounded by militants – as she had been for several days since she was denied the opportunity to make a final statement in a trial in which she is accused of corruption. In the crowd, a man pulled out a gun and fired it centimeters from Cristina Fernández’s face, but the bullet did not fire.
The man was arrested and identified by federal police within minutes.
In addition to showing solidarity and reinforcing their support for the hierarch, from the political coalition they demanded a quick clarification! of the facts and the “appropriate legal actions”.
In short, they urged the Argentine people to “reject all manifestations of intolerance and hatred.”
