“New meetings will be held soon with representatives of both countries, such as the friendship group and the Colombian Senate, which will help coordinate and manage the new stage of bilateral diplomatic relations,” stressed the parliamentarian after participating in the meeting between the President of the National Parliament, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, and the Colombian Ambassador to Venezuela, Armando Benedettiwhich was held at the Federal Legislative Palace.
According to a note of press of the National AssemblyJulio Chávez believes that the Venezuelan Parliament will do the right job to achieve concrete results, with the aim of bringing the greatest amount of happiness to the peoples.

With the progressive restoration of Venezuela-Colombia relations, it is expected that both nations will enter a new stage of peace and shared prosperity, considers the parliamentarian.
In this sense, Deputy Chávez underlined the need to direct a new stage to consolidate peace, prosperity and social well-being of the families affected by the closure of the border in 2018.
He announced that the members of the Venezuela-Colombia Parliamentary Friendship Group “are studying the next actions to follow, according to the new dynamics of relations,” he added.
AN received Ambassador Armando Benedetti
This Tuesday the president of the National AssemblyJorge Rodríguez, received the Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, Armando Benedetti, at the Palacio de los Escudos.
Previously, Benedetti had been received in the Hall of the Shields of the Legislative Federal by the chief deputy of the Bloc of the Homeland, Diosdado Hair.
Benedetti thanked the welcome and highlighted the importance of reinvigorating relations between the two nations.
For his part, the president of the Venezuelan Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that the issue of the border must be a consensual issue.
Armando Benedetti arrived in the country last Sunday, and was received by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Monday at the Miraflores Palace, to whom he handed over the diplomatic credentials as Colombian ambassador to Venezuela.
