Galp Energia Brasil was the winner of the direct sales process carried out by Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA) today (31), with the objective of marketing the first oil load of the Union, arising from the production sharing agreement of Sépia. The cargo, totaling 500,000 barrels, will be available for loading in the last quarter of this year.
Ten companies that already have pre-salt operations were invited by PPSA to participate in the process, and three submitted proposals: Petrobras, Galp and Total. All price offers were opened in real time during a meeting held this Wednesday by the Teams platform between PPSA and representatives of the participating companies.
As established by the PPSA, the winner would be the company offering the highest price, based on the reference price established for Sepia oil by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
The Portuguese company Galp Energia operates in more than 26 oil and natural gas projects in Brazil, through its subsidiary Petrogal Brasil, formed in 1999 in association with China’s Sinopec, which holds 30% of the capital.
The PPSA company operates in the management of production sharing contracts, management of the commercialization of oil and natural gas and in the representation of the Union in production individualization agreements.
