The collective exhibition “Loyal among us”, which will open on September 10, seeks to reflect the legacy of the Historian of Havana, Eusebio Leal, from the personal perspectives of several Cuban painters.
80 years after his birth, the exhibition will bring together creators such as Zaida del Río, Alfredo Sosabravo, Eduardo Roca (Choco) and Alicia Leal, who will present their works at the Carmen Montilla gallery, in Oficios entre Amargura and Teniente Rey, Old Havana . Martha Jiménez, Ernesto Rancaño, Enrique Ávila, Isabel Gimeno and Juan Quintanilla will complete the list.
The initiative is part of the tribute of the system of museums and institutions attached to the Office of the Historian, which develops a special program of activities to pay tribute to Leal.
In addition, the conference “Leal, heritage and symbolism” by Michael González, at the City Museum, and the conversation “Evocation of Leal’s work” at Casa de Asia are announced.
