Maduro denounced conspiracy against the economic recovery of the country

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated this Wednesday his denunciation of some minority groups, promoted from the right, who intend to disrupt the recovery and stabilization of the economy.

“I denounce, as I have been doing, that there are minority sectors that are hurt by the economic recovery of the country. They are the same ones that launch the sanctions, the economic war, but Venezuela changed, it changed for the better and we cannot allow economic recovery and stabilization to disturb us,” the head of state pointed out during a working day.

In statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the National President urged citizens to protect the progress that has been made to generate stability in the country.

“We have to dedicate ourselves to producing and taking care of the economy, so that we are not going to go back to chaos, a product of the system of war and persecution,” President Maduro stressed.

For this reason, he called for “raising and embracing” the economic recovery plan.

“The economic recovery plan that we are advancing is the flag that all Venezuelans must raise and embrace. The recovery is growth and we feel happy that we achieved it with our own efforts,” added the Venezuelan president from Monagas state.

«Construction of a multiproductive economy»

During the working day, President Maduro asserted that work is being done to build a multi-productive, diversified economy that does not depend on oil income.

“In the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and part of 2021, we were subjected to an onslaught, of sanctions, of financial, economic, oil persecution, of pressure, never before seen in the history of our country, and I think it is difficult to compare with the history of other countries”, recalled the Venezuelan head of state.

Given all these measures – he detailed – work began to re-improve the productive apparatus, through the reactivation of the 18 Engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, as well as the re-impulsion of the Great AgroVenezuela Mission.

“With all these tools, we were articulating the different engines, we were reactivating it, today we can say that Venezuela has four quarters growing at a rate of more than 17%, the first time in 120 years,” he pointed out.

Regarding the oil situation, President Maduro asserted that, despite the fact that they will re-boost production to go to a growth stage, the foreign currency that comes in from crude oil will go to a savings fund for investment.

“What are we going to do with the oil? We have to save. A fund for the generations of the future, for the investments of the future, the rest of the economy has to function in a new virtuous circuit, we have to achieve an economy that produces goods, services, and that produces physical wealth”, stressed President Maduro .

On August 23, the president of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV)Calixto Ortega reported that Venezuela achieves the first quarter of this year 2022 a economic growth of 17.04%.

Ortega explained that during the third quarter of 2021, the Venezuelan economy registered an increase and stood at 14.65%, while in the fourth quarter growth was 19.07%, compared to the same period of the previous year.
