During this day a landslide was recorded inside a work in the Las Condes district, causing the assistance of firefighters and community personnel to the place to attend to possible injuries.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Avenida Apoquindo and El Bosque Norte streets, when the slabs located on floors -1, -2 and -3 in a building construction. The sector was attended by police officers and seven fire trucks.
As stated radio dnaat first it was thought of the existence of trapped people, but it was denied by the mayor of the commune, Daniela Penalozawho specified that “the information we have on this accident is that the payrolls of the workers coincide with the count that is made at the time of the accident, so there would be no people trapped.”
For his part, the guard captain of the Santiago Fire Department, Jorge Garcia Sepulveda, pointed out that after a technical review at the site, the presence of injured people is ruled out. “We have been able to rule out, after a technical review, that people have been found working, that there have been injured or even deceased,” she added.
Carabineros is investigating the cause of the collapse.
