As of September 1, road freight carriers will not have to renew the validity of the National Registry of Road Cargo Carriers (RNTRC), a document that qualifies them for freight, as resolution published in June by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT).
The exemption from renewal is due to the fact that the registration of this registration will have “indefinite validity”. The RNTRC is a national and mandatory registration for everyone who works in the road freight transport sector, whether carriers, cooperatives or self-employed professionals.
According to ANTT, carriers that have an active registration and expiration date until August 31, 2022 “are able to carry out the transport operation”.
“If the carrier does not have the registration expired, it is not necessary to do any procedure for the RNTRC to remain indefinitely valid,” the agency said in a note.
The carrier that has the expired RNTRC will need to revalidate it, which can be done at the service points or through the RNTRC Digital. To access it, click here.
According to ANTT, the schedule and procedures for ordinary revalidation will be published later this year by the agency.
