The national cabinet expressed his “back and full support” to the vice president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner in “institutional and political terms” by “judicial and media persecution” who suffers in the context of the case that follows for the alleged direction of public works in Santa Cruz.
This was stated by the chancellor santiago cafiero at a press conference after the Cabinet meeting that took place in the morning at the Casa Rosada, headed by the chief of staff, John Manzur.
In this framework, Cafiero said that the “judicial and media persecution” against the vice president was analyzed and added: “We express our full support and support for our vice president in institutional and political terms.”
On the other hand, the head of the San Martín Palace reported that the cabinet meeting also analyzed “sustaining economic activity and the fight against inflation, which are issues that are always present at the discussion table.”
Likewise, the international agenda that President Alberto Fernández will develop on the occasion of his trip to New York to participate in the General Assembly of the United Nations, on September 19 and 20.
For his part, the Minister of Science and Technology, Daniel Filmusstated that “in no way is there an adjustment in health or education or science and technology, which are fundamental and decisive areas” for the management of the national government.
“There is no type of adjustment. The Minister of Economy, Serge Massawas very explicit about it at the meeting”, said Filmus, who participated in the press conference together with the Secretary of Media and Communication, John Ross; the Minister of Women, Gender and Diversity, Elizabeth Gomez Alcorta; and the Secretary for Strategic Affairs, Mark del Pont.
The meeting began at 9:20 am, lasted 70 minutes, and was led by the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur, who at the end of the meeting headed for Santa Fe, where he will participate in a meeting in the city of Tostado.
Also present were the Ministers of the Interior, Eduardo ‘Wado’ de Pedro; of Economy, Serge Massa; of Education, Jaime Perczyk; of Justice, Martin Soria; of security, Hannibal Fernandez; defense, Jorge Taiana; Of transport, alexis warrior; and Public Works, Gabriel Katopodisofficial sources reported.
The holders of the portfolios of Social Development, Juan Zabaleta; of work, Claudius Moroni; of culture, Tristan Bauer; Environment and Sustainable Development, Juan Cabandie; and the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzetti.
Also taking part in the meeting were the Deputy Chief of Staff, Juan Manuel Olmos; the Legal and Technical Secretary, Vilma Ibarra; the controller of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI), Agustín Rossi; and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello.
The last meeting of the National Cabinet had been held on August 10, headed by President Alberto Fernández.
On that occasion, Manzur stressed that investment in public works, housing, health, education, science and technology are priority axes in the Government’s management.
