For two weeks, hundreds of citizens of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) have been affected by the collective strike that the transport chambers advance in claiming the payment of subsidies.
No solutions in sight the measure of force continues this Wednesday and affects more than 100 lines. For him collective strike during daytime hours the service will have a reduction of 30%; while at night, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., there will be no transportation service.
The collective strike it is maintained despite the sanctions ordered by the National Commission for Transport Regulation and the transfer of subsidies by the Ministry of Transport.
However, from the sector they warned that the force measure will be maintained until the total amount owed has not been paid. The initiative is led by the Business Chamber of Passenger Transport (CEAP), the Business Chamber of Urban Transport of Buenos Aires (CETUBA) and the Chamber of Transport of the Province of Buenos Aires (CTPBA).
Meanwhile, the National Commission for the Regulation of Automotive Transport (CNRT) reported that more than 106 infraction acts have been issued for 18 million pesos to the bus companies that maintain the unemployment.
This, since the Government promised to make weekly transfers to transport companies, in order for the measure to be suspended; however, this did not happen and the measure has already been completed for more than 15 days.
Meanwhile, the dispute over the payment of subsidies between the Nation and the Buenos Aires Government continues, since the former maintains that the City has not taken care of its part; while the second ensures that there is no payment commitment.
Until when will there be unemployment
From the transport cameras they assured that, despite the measure of forcein the week “there was no chaos or large lines of people at the stops”, so without major impairments in mobility, they would not feel pressured to suspend their decision.
This means that the strike will continue indefinitely, or until the debt is settled or a new economic arrangement is reached with the parties, since the transport companies ensure that the expenses are higher than the current income level.
